The Morelia Migrant Shelter (Albergue Sagrado Corazón Pro Migrante) is a civil organization that is a welcoming space for people in situations of mobility. It is the first migrant shelter in the state of Michoacán and presently has dormitories for 25 people.
Our mission is to provide humanitarian support to migrants in transit, returning migrants, refugees, and displaced persons, offering them a safe place, food, and basic assistance. Many expats have been involved as volunteers and benefactors.
